  • Basel III if your lending business overlaps with capital adequacy reporting or enterprise risk controls.
  • HIPAA only if you lend into healthcare-adjacent financing workflows where protected health information may appear in supporting documents. Most lenders should avoid ingesting PHI unless there is a clear need.

The main mistake is treating the model output as policy. It is not. The model proposes; your controls decide.

Getting Started

  1. Pick one narrow workflow

    • Start with a single use case like adverse action letter drafting, document completeness checks for personal loans, or exception routing for small-business underwriting.
    • Avoid broad “compliance copilot” scope at pilot stage.
  2. Assemble a small cross-functional team
